D3 - Feedback needed please

We'd love some further feedback on the D3 project materials that have been created as part of the project.

Ideally, this would be in the form of a StoryMap which we could add to our gallery of examples. Click the Gallery Tab on the website (link below) to see some existing examples.

Exploring Connectography

A new StoryMap made with the input of Parag Khanna.

Transportation, energy, and communications infrastructures link the world's urban hubs and resource deposits together, expanding and deepening patterns of connectivity across the globe. This interactive story map provides visual snapshots generated from the interactive Exploring the World of Connectography web map.

Parag will be making an input to next week's GA Conference.

Queen's Green Canopy

Good to see a tree planted in the paddock last week to be part of the Queen's Green Canopy for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Feeding the World in 2050

I used this resource last week from the Marine Stewardship Council (you may have seen their blue fish 'tick' logo on fish.

It won a GA Award.

Departing Department Stores

This is a timely and important document for many of our cities.

Our department stores have faced unprecdented challenges in the last few years. 

We explore the changing High Street with Year 7.

We have lost some familiar names that have been around for decades, and this has also led to large and beautiful buildings sitting empty and under threat as they are unlikely to find new tenants in a hurry due to their size and central locations. The report includes stores from national chains such as Debenhams to more local and regional examples. In Norwich, for example, we have the Jarrold's stores which are an important part of the town centre's retail  offering. 

Many of these buildings could be described as 'cathedrals of commerce' with important architectural value.
