Australia - an additional risk...

Year 9s have been exploring the risks facing people living in Australia (and other places)
A Twitter contact of mine: Martin P, who lives in Sydney, tweeted this picture of his iPhone after he'd been out in the heat for a while earlier...
Another secondary problem caused by high temperatures perhaps...

What other unusual risks can you think of ?

Down under 2 - second batch of Tagxedo clouds

What would you do with these next ?
How could you continue the discussion on risk using these as a resource ?

Nice work by Calum, David and Emma

Down Under...

Australia is a particularly risky place.

It's almost as if the place is set up to kill its inhabitants or at least to inconvenience them. The hazards are climatic, meteorological, biological and from other sources... Even the sun beats down through a thinning layer of Ozone and cutting the grass might lead to a spider bite...

Year 9 have been investigating the Risky Place that is Australia and visualising the risks in some Word Clouds, made with the Tagxedo website, which provides the option to turn the clouds into shapes.

Excellent work by Charles, Oliver and Natalia.

More to come in the next few days...
