Centre of Excellence award

As Mr. Whymark announced this morning in the King's Junior assembly, the geography department at King's were delighted to discover over the half term that they have been awarded the status of Centre of Excellence by the Geographical Association.

There are only around 40 schools that hold this honour, and this represents a great deal of hard work by all the geography teachers at King's Ely. 

I can't claim any credit for this of course, as the hard work has been done for several years by my new colleagues, but I look forward to some of the further developments that this opens up, and to helping further build the reputation of the department.
