Earlier today, I was talking about the importance of ozone in protecting us from the sun's UV rays, and how the damage to the ozone layer particularly affects Antarctica, and in the past areas of New Zealand and Australia which are within that area.
It turns out that we are once again right up with the news, as today is World Ozone Layer Day.
As we learn more about Antarctica, it's worth reading up on this important aspect of the environment - just be certain that you don't connect it with global warming / climate change...
